Location: The 2023 Information Security Symposium will take place online.
General schedule: The conference will extend over two days on Tuesday, June 20 and Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Instructional computing labs and lectures are scheduled for both days. A general welcome session will be held Tuesday. All sponsors (financial and instructional) will have an opportunity to informally meet conference attendees to showcase their products.
Attendees: We expect approximately 500 attendees from the UC campuses and medical centers to attend this conference. Invited attendees also include guests from other higher education locations and California state agencies. The attendees represent the technical leads for many information technology units and are typically responsible for making technology acquisition and training decisions.
Concurrent session tracks: Conference tracks will emphasize sessions that share information about technology and security developments that are innovative and/or benefit operational workloads. Sessions will include technical presentations and hands-on labs focusing on improving and maintaining security for networking, operating systems, applications, workstations, and mobile devices. Instructional labs are scheduled for up to 105 minutes, and lecture/panel discussions are 45 or 90 minutes in duration.
Fees: Registration is complimentary this year for all participants.
